Seyen
Hi all, i'm Gabriele and i'm new of this software. I've start to use and try to find a way to get the best of my photo. I've a first question. When i had use CS6 i used often the oil painting filter to give a "Van Gogh" sensation to my photo. There's something for Affinity? Thanks a lot for your answer :) Clara Montseny, Besli and PaulDean
Staff MEB Posted October 24, 2015 Staff Share Posted October 24, 2015 Hi Seyen, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Currently no, but Artistic Filters are already on Affinity Photo's roadmap to be implemented. Angler
In the meantime, give Superphoto a try. It's a free app for the basic version, but you'll likely want to pay to unlock the advanced features which will then allow you to work with your photos in high resolution. There are two effects that will likely give you the effect you're looking for: one is called Painting and the other is called Impressionist. You can play around with settings and resolution to get a pretty good "Van Gogh" look to your work. I usually work the the photo in Affinity or Mac Photos, then export it as either a .tiff or .jpeg and drag it into SuperPhoto. Hope this helps you achieve the results you're looking for!
