ashf
Somehow it's not possible to paste SVG data from XD. I confirmed that there's SVG data inside the clipboard when coping objects in XD. When I paste SVG in Affinity, nothing happens. Though I can paste the bitmap data.
Komatös
In Designer, go to Preferences -> General and set Clipboard -> Copy Elements as SVG. Komatös
Sorry, my fault. Since I don't have XD, I tried it with an version of Illustrator. Here, copying from Illustrator and pasting into Designer works. And I can also create a new document from the clipboard. And in contrast to your clipboard display, the handle type for all my entries is memory. Staff Gabe Posted May 21, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 21, 2021 Hi both, No problems here pasting the SVG. I right click > Copy SVG code from XD, then just a normal "Paste" in Designer brings in the shape. Are you doing something different? ashf

I see, I used normal copy command and then used paste special in Designer. As I mentioned there was SVG data inside the clipboard so I thought normal copy would work. Staff Gabe Posted May 21, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 21, 2021 Something must be wrong with the data they put on the clipboard. If you try and paste that back into Photoshop, or Inkscape, you will still get a bitmap instead of the SVG. Not much we can do in this instance if they can't even handle copy/paste between their own apps...
