Color panel not working properly

It seems that on all of my affinity apps the color panel is not working properly, when I select a shape or text to change its color it takes several tries of clicking the color box in order for the color panel to appear. Most of the times I have to select something else, deselect it, select the shape or text again, click the color box again and MAYBE it will work.

All of my affinity apps are up to date. Any suggestions?

I fixed the dollar sign issue

Just to clarify: are you talking about the color box on the Context Toolbar?

Note on some of the various available color 'boxes' (well, field, icon) you need to double-click to cause an additional color panel getting opened.
