Old Bruce
This has been asked for many times and each time the answer is no. Not going to happen. Though the 1.9 beta did have a timeline feature for awhile. It had enough issues that it was withdrawn, with (as I recall) a comment that it would be back later. dotails 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. enginpost
I didn't realize they were beta testing a timeline animation feature. I hope they bring it back. VectorCat and Frozen Death Knight

As far as I could tell, when playing around with the timeline when it was there, it wasn’t meant to be an animation feature but a simple way to produce ‘time-lapse’ videos more-easily – just a sequence of snapshots really, not much more than that. I think it’s worth saying, just in case anyone reading this gets the wrong idea, Serif have repeatedly said that they have no plans to add animation functionality to the Affinity applications.
