Master pages: Content assigned to wrong object when changing the master page

Recommended Posts

I'm still working on making different layouts for (nearly) the same content. I have two master pages with objects (text and pictures) named the same in both master pages. But the 1st master page has one text object without a corresponding text object in the 2nd master page. I expected that this object will be ignored when assigning the 2nd master page. Instead one of the other text objects is chosen by AFPUB to contain the text from this object. The attached file presents a sample. It has two pages: 1st page with the 1st master page, 2nd page how it should look with the 2nd master page applied. Steps to reproduce what I previously described:

Go to 1st page, duplicate and then apply the master page "Katalogseite" to the copy. The text from the 1st page's object "Infotext" will be placed into the logo.

I am using Affinity Publisher 1.9.2.1035 on Windows.

Why are the pages different sizes? A4 and A3.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
