Mask will not work on my image on IPAD

Hi,

 

I have been using Affinity Photo for a while on PC and IPAD, however when I use the mask layer I cannot use the black or white brush on my image to add or remove? Is this a bug, or has some settings changed?

masks work perfectly fine on both of my 2 iPads (iPad Pro 2018, ipad 2017)

Can you please upload an example document where we can reproduce the issue?

I would suspect brush or color settings (flow, opacity) might have changed unnoticed by you, this often lead to unexpected behavior.

Please use the attached file to check if you can paint on the mask layer, and check if this reveals or hides the red layer bottom beneath the blue top layer.

If it does not work: please use the screen recorder and upload the video, and the file updated by you.

Are you doing this? Is it a pixel image?
