Not sure if this is a bug or not? Selecting colour issues

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a setting I need to change.

Basically, If I select a colour from the Pantone Coated colour swatch i.e. 340 it shows as a global colour. I'm not sure why but this colour is wrong so I add a new Pantone swatch pallet using Pantone Colour manager and create a .ase file, I then import it as an application pallet. This colour is correct bit it's not classed as a global colour. Why is this?

Moving on from this, if I select an object and give it my new Pantone colour and then create another object and use the colour picker to copy the colour, it copies as a cmyk value and not a spot colour, I know using cmd shift v will do this but surly cmd v should do the same?

Finally how do I delete the old Pantone swatches to there are no confusion?

If you have a user-created palette, Global colors are only supported when the palette is a Document palette. They are not supported in Application palettes that you create.
