Add options for transparent background display

Recommended Posts

A new user and I did do a search to see if this request had already been made, and couldn't find any requests, nor could I find in the program any options if this already exists. .My suggestion is this: Add options for the user to be able to set both the colours used for, and the size of the background transparency grid.  For example. below is a comparison between the Affinity Photo Background Grid and one I configured using KRITA.

I have a few visual disabilities and find it much easier to spot a coloured transparency grid than a default white and grey grid. Hopefully adding this option is simple to do and help others as well.

Yes, it has been requested many times. For example:

Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.4.0.2301
Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155.
Dell Latitude E5570, i5-6440HQ 2.60 GHz, 8 GB, Intel HD Graphics 530, 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2, Build 22631.3155.
Intel NUC5PGYH, Pentium N3700 2.40 GHz, 8 GB, Intel HD Graphics, EIZO EV2456 1920 x 1200, Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H1, Build 19043.2130.

No, NOT the same. Making it darker or lighter  is NO HELP at all if it only appears as tiny squares on my screen, and having fixed colours means that - with the visual impairments I have, certain elements on screen would be INVISIBLE. Having different colours  is part of my suggestion and that's why.

Yes, you are right - this is a "COMPLETE" different suggestion. Sorry.

Could it not be added to previous suggestion, that in addition to darkening/lightening the chessboard, it would be good to be able to adjust its color?
