Hi,

this might be by design, in that case can you please move this to "feature requests".

The info panel does not always show the effect of anti-aliasing from vector shapes and curves.

You first need to rasterize / merge visible. This happens mainly when working on documents of small dimensions.

Note:

When i open this file, switch to a different open file and the back, the info panel is working OK for the rest of the session.

The upper green line (vector / curve):

  • Alpha is shows either 0 or 255.

The lower green line (rasterized):

  • Alpha is shown as multiple correctly (many different values)

Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.

I use iPad screenshots and videos even in the Desktop section of the forum when I expect no relevant difference.

Hey NotMyFault,

I can't reproduce this here. The top curve is giving me all sorts of readings for the alpha, not just 255 or 0.

I've asked Gabe to try as well and he's reporting back the same. Are you using a mouse/tablet? Any chance of a screen recording?

here you go.

It seems this issue is only triggered when you have at least 2 documents open.

  1. Start Photo
  2. Open any document
  3. Open the test image
  4. Now the info panel does not show anti-aliased pixels correctly
  5. Switch to other document and back
  6. Now info panel works as expected.

Just updated to latest nVidia driver 462.59 (studio)
