Nadar Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Hi 😉 I'd like to add text on a picture but the letters are surrounded by a line and if I change the color it is only this line wich changes of colour, not the letter inside. What can I do to remove that line and to color the letter ? Thank you Quote Ipad Affinity Photo
walt.farrell Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 It would help if you gave us a screenshot to show your problem. Please make sure it includes the Layers panel so we can see your text layer there, too. (Even better would be a sample document that has the problem.) Nadar Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 Thanks Walt. Well sorry I found the way to do it… But is it possible to have a colored background on the letters ? Quote Ipad Affinity Photo

Glad you figured out the first problem. For a colored background: If you were using the desktop version of the application, I would suggest going to the Character panel, which provides that function. However, I don't know if that's available in the iPad version. Sorry. Nadar Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 Thanks Walt. Could you show me how this function is displayed on your desktop version ? Quote Ipad Affinity Photo
walt.farrell Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 I doubt it will help much, but sure. The marked color well specifies the background color for the characters: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Nadar Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 Thanks Walt 😉 Here is my Character menu. Does the Decorations tab with "none" crossed is where you set the background ? If yes, I don't think Ipad version can do it… Quote Ipad Affinity Photo
DM1 Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 Use text with transparent background. iPad has no background colour controls though it has been requested many times.
