mas_reiner Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 (edited) Hello! I've had Publisher downloaded for some time now and recently decided to buy both Designer and Photo while they were both discounted. With that said, all three applications work totally fine on all of my home computers. However, as of now, I currently work at a place where I have non-administrative access to a computer. Therefore, I carry a lot of external programs that I wish to use on a flash drive. Specifically, I have the "Affinity" folder (which is commonly installed to Program Files) directly located in my flash drive. Both Designer and Photo work totally fine from my flash drive. However, when I try to switch personas in Publisher, I am met with the message that both Photo and Designer are not installed. Is there some directory thing that I am missing here? Thank you for your time and patience. Edited May 12, 2021 by mas_reiner Quote
walt.farrell Posted May 12, 2021 Posted May 12, 2021 You need to have the Photo and Designer applications properly installed on Windows in order for StudioLink to work there. Merely having a copy of the applications in some folder won't work. In any case, your license for the applications only allows you to use them on computers that you "own or control". It sounds like you might be violating those license terms if you only have a non-Administrator account available. It's likely you need to have the owner of that PC acquire their own license for the applications.
