Scroll bar covers selection boxes

Recommended Posts

In files with lots of layers the scroll bar to scroll down through the layers partially covers the selection boxes for layer visibility which can makes using them a bit tricky (& quite frustrating).

On a separate but related moan I'm finding that on more complex works when I select an object/curve, because the default behaviour is to open the relevant layer in the layers panel I'm having to constantly scroll up and down (very lengthy!) in order to then select/deselect other layers. Can there be an option to keep the layer closed instead of automatically opening it whenever anything is selected? I've looked through preferences but couldn't find anything.

I think this is caused by this:

Ever since this silly "feature" was introduced in Mac OS a decade or so ago, one of the first things I'd do when setting up a new user account is to switch to "Always".

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
