Cannot get the Healing Brush Tool to work (split)

Recommended Posts

Iam very new to photo editing. I have been following the exact steps on youtube to use the healing brush. But when I clck to get a sample and start brushing it does not work. The area I go to do not change. Iam wondering is it the app that has something wrong or is my mac who is not powerfull enough very confused.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @herling. I see that a moderator has split your question into its own topic. If you were Following the original topic you posted in, you'll probably want to Follow this one, too. You can click here to do that.

A couple of possibilities:

  1. I think you'd need to Alt+Click (not Click) on Windows, so probably it's Opt+Click on Mac. The Status Bar at the bottom of the window will tell you which is needed.
  2. Please look in the Brushes panel and confirm what kind of Brush you have selected. You should have a Basic brush selected; something without a texture.
