tonywaghorn
Hi I'm trying to create a table, but the TABLE tool switches back to the TEXT cursor as soon as I move over the page or document area. Why isn't TABLE > INSERT a menu item? (Affinity Publisher Mac - M1) Also - Crashes when trying to adjust table INSETS insert-tables-affinity.mov insert-tables-affinity.mov

You are probably over a Text frame, either on the actual page or a master page. Move to somewhere without a Text frame and use the table tool to put the table on the page and then move it where you want it. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

In the video, like in a test document I tried, the Frame Text layer is locked. I thought that would prevent the Table Tool from switching to a text cursor but it does not. Temporarily HIDING the Frame Text layer does work. Seems buggy to me. Staff Lee D Posted May 14, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 14, 2021 @tonywaghorn Is the crashing only happening with this table when you try adjusting the Insets? Have you tried copying it to an empty document to see if the crash still occurs? Another option would be to create a new document and insert a new table to see if a crash also occurs.
