FredB Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 [Windows 10, 64-bit; Publisher 1.9.2.1035] Needing to import some tabular data, put it in an Excel spreadsheet. The "Help" says I should be able to drop the file onto Publisher. Doing this causes a crash. The attached empty .afpub file and the attached .xlsx file do this every time on my system. analysis-by-society.xlsx empty.afpub Quote
Joachim_L Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 Confirmed. Attached the crash report. @FredB Alternatively you can simply place the spreadsheet. 818af0da-3e6b-4ff3-b3ad-bc05d7363d05.dmp Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
carl123 Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 Confirmed: But if I simply open the xlsx file and resave it (no changes) it then works fine via drag and drop Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Resaving in LibreOffice Calc APu still crashes. Quote ------ Windows 10 | i5-8500 CPU | Intel UHD 630 Graphics | 32 GB RAM | Latest Retail and Beta versions of complete Affinity range installed
Staff Pauls Posted May 10, 2021 Staff Posted May 10, 2021 Issus has been logged - thanks for reporting Quote
FredB Posted May 12, 2021 Author Posted May 12, 2021 Attached was created in Google Sheets and saved as .xlsx - it also crashes Publisher. Might be useful for diagnosis given it's about as simple as you could wish. Untitled spreadsheet.xlsx Pauls 1 Quote
