I am creating a Publisher document that will be exported as a PDF. Apart from the cover page, I have 80 pages with one master page and one different thing on each subsequent pair of pages. Each pair of pages is one day number, so in the end I need the cover page and then page 1=Day 1, page 2=Day 1, page 3=Day 2, page 4=Day 2, p.5=Day 3, p.6=Day3 etc up to Day 40 on pages 80 & 81.

I've set up my master so that all I'll need to change is the number 1, 1, 2, 2, 3 etc - is there a quick way of doing this?

I've looked at adding a page number field on the master, which would be perfect if they were just in sequence 1, 2, 3, but I can't see a way of adapting it.

If there isn't a repeat action kind of facility, then is there a way of creating the 40 days twice and merging the files so that the pages merge alternately, giving me the 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 that I need?

Thanks in advance!

Catherine

Not sure if I understand exactly what you want to do

But see if the attached, master page fields do what you want on the individual pages

Don't adapt, cheat. I placed a text frame on the Left Master page and stretched it over to the right page. It has two Page # place holders which will give you the page number only from the Left page.

Here is a modified version of day.afpub from @carl123.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.2
Affinity Designer 2.3.1 | Affinity Photo 2.3.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.3.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
