select object on different layer

Hello to All,

i'm new on affinity designer,

on Illustrator with "direct selection tool"i was able to select object and points on different layers,

that let me to cut out fron different layerand group different object that i could copy on a new layer for example,

of affinity i don't knowho to do that...

can yuo help me please?

Hi Federicof,

Are you looking to make raster selections or select objects within groups sorry? If you are just looking to make raster selections perhaps try the tools found within the Pixel Persona.

Hi @federicof,
You can select multiple nodes and objects from different layers but you cannot copy/paste a couple nodes from that selection and paste them as new objects (as in Illustrator) - the whole object(s) from where those nodes were selected will be copied instead.

What you can do is duplicate the object, change to the Node Tool, press and hold ctrl and click the segments of the object you want get rid of so you end up just with the nodes/segments you want.
