Updating Gradients in AP 1.9.4 (Apple Store version)

Recommended Posts

Hello!!

Whenever I apply a gradient in AP 1.9.4 (Apple Store version) and later I want to modify it in any way (e.g. change the midpoint, modify one of the colors, etc.) I have to re-do the whole process from the beginning of applying a gradient, choosing the colors (if different than the default B&W), etc.

is there a way to modify an existing gradient starting from the state in which it already exists (saved or not)?

Thanks,

Mauricio

If you are applying the gradient to a pixel layer this is normal. It is a destructive process so once you apply the gradient it is 'baked into' that layer, changing all of its pixels to those of the gradient.

Presumably you mean 1.9.3, as 1.9.4 is only in beta so far, and only available here in the forums, not from any of the stores.

If you want a modifiable gradient you need to apply it to a vector shape or to a Fill layer.
