I'm laying out a book in Publisher and in a previous file I added some frame breaks inside the normal text flow that I want to remove. However, I can't seem to find a way to do this.

I've been looking for things like "show invisibles" and "remove current break" or something like that. Instead, I see nothing to work with to undo the breaks I've created. I did see one reference to a break once, but can't remember what window it might have been in. I think it was during the creation of some element; a blip on my mental map that passed too quickly.

If there is a grep command, can someone show me what it is for frame breaks? I don't know the code that well.

a) Menu Text >> Show Special Characters

b) In the Find and Replace panel click on the small triangle next to the loupe >> Special Characters >> Frame Break

Thank you, Joachim. That worked nicely. Is that instruction in the manual as well? I've googled a lot but have found no reference to undo these things until I posted here.

Anyway, thanks again. :) Or better yet, danke schöen.

Thanks for the links. I've bookmarked them for future reference (because no doubt I'll forget again after I've been working in another program for too long.)

P.S. (Update) I also noticed that by making those special characters visible, I can just backspace over the frame breaks to delete them. Cool. I thought at first that the find and replace function was necessary to the process. Glad it isn't. But it'll help me to track down future culprits of that sort.

Good to know.
