Darnice Linton Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Yes I have a concern I am trying to create a 2D image in designer even though I wanted to save it as they Pict image but apparently I can't do that. The reason why because in Adobe illustrator it could be done so I'm trying to find out where do you go to save the image not only a PICT image but also create a path for the image itself so I can go there and export it or save it as the PICT image so I can open up in create a 3D model image and Strata3D. Unfortunately it's not possible to export to this format in Affinity currently, my apologies. I will move this thread to the feedback section of our forums for our devs to see an consider adding in a future version - I hope this helps! Quote

PICT is a legacy format from the original Macintosh (c.1984) operating system. Very few programs will support it natively today, and I suspect the reason Illustrator does is that it requires more effort to remove it than to simply leave it in. GraphicConverter from Lemke Software has been a popular (and long-standing) option for folks needing to convert from one format to another; including PICT — it's the Swiss Army knife of image format conversion. Adds an extra step in your process, but it will enable you to save the PICT you need for Strata. Quote

Can you not use TIFF or PNG or JPEG? Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
