Cannot import “.afluts” files

Recommended Posts

I cannot create new category or import  “.afluts” files in Affinity Photo on MacOs (Intel and Apple silicon).  No problems to import or export  “.afluts” files  or create new category on Windows 10.

What I am missing?

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

What UI language do you have specified for Affinity Photo? There was a report from another Mac user that creating a new LUTS category does not work with the program UI set to German, but does with English.

Setting UI langage to English work.  I was able to import .afluts file or create new LUTs categories now.

Thank you very much for help.

Many thanks for letting us know François, our developers have already implemented a fix for this issue in the next update, so you should not need to change your UI language in the future. I hope this helps :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Could someone please clarify how you change the language? I would really like to be able to install the photo bundle that comes with Affinity Photo Version 2, but can't open the aflut file.

Thank you!

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @CLynn. :)

This thread is about an old V1 problem: you shouldn’t have to change to language in the latest release of V1, or in the current release of V2. Are you following the correct procedure?

Thank you for that. Regrettably, I still can't open .afluts or .afassets files. I'm getting really frustrated. I was so excited about Version 2, but I can't seem to get anything to open the way it should.

Any thoughts?

As an aid to identifying the cause of the problem, please describe your steps. Please also state your system specs.

Thank you! I think I have it figured out. For some reason, my computer is not recognizing the file types, but they still seem to be recognized within the program itself. I was responding to error messages that seem to not be real errors.

I appreciate your time and help!
