Hello,

the last time I opened my Affinity Publisher document all new text fields I made got highlighted with this light red color as seen on my screenshots. Since the text field itself has no background color I can't really explain to myself where this comes from. Looks like there's a mistake with the fonts but I checked and I have the font installed plus the red color appears on every new text field no matter which font I use. Is there a preset that colors the text that I accidentally turned on or something like that?
Thanks in advance,
Rebecca

Welcome to the forum @RebeccaS

It may be the text has a background colour not the text field, check in the character panel.

The text frame has a fill. Look at the panel Text Frame. To remove this setting for new text frames, click the icon Revert defaults (the cloud with the red line in it).
