Affinity Photo 1.9.2.1035 - Straighten Tool not working if Window is set to Float

Recommended Posts

Unless I'm doing something wrong (which is always possible), the Straighten Tool does not work if the document Window is set to Float. It does work if the document Window is set to Dock.

When set to Float, the Straighten Tool reverts to the Crop Tool the moment it's applied to the document.

No big deal, as I'll just Dock the Window.

Oh..., and it happens in Beta 1.9.4.1048, too.

Hello @PeteMacca,

I have the same problem here,
the Straighten Tool works in the floating window, when the CTRL key is pressed.
It's strange.

Cheers

I don't think that's a real bug. If you use the CTRL key while docked, you also switch to the straightening tool.

But it could indeed be difficult or impossible for tablet-pc users who do not use a hardware keyboard and work with floating windows.

It works fine for me.

I didn't know about the CTRL key thingy. Yes..., that works. Thanks Gnobelix & Komatös!

But it does seem strange that the Straighten button doesn't work in a Floated window.

Maybe the developers will put it on their agenda.

Well, it's reported here in the Bugs section, so when the QA team has a chance to get to this report, there's a good chance they'll log it for the developers.
