DeclanKonesky
Hi, I am still trying to figure out why application crashes during pdf export. I've tried ever preset and I either get an error, but no information or code as to why, or the whole app just closes. It is a 220 page graphic novel including cover. Staff Dan C Posted May 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 4, 2021 Hi @DeclanKonesky, We're certainly sorry to hear you're having trouble exporting your PDF! Please can you follow the below FAQ to generate a PDFlog from Affinity (this should still be created, even if the PDF export itself fails) and then attach a copy of this log here for me? Many thanks in advance Quote Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave. Staff Dan C Posted May 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 4, 2021 Many thanks for your log file, this shows the following error - ["Corrupt JPEG image file 'C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Temp\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\PdfIm_179.jpg'"] I'm going to require a copy of your .afpub file and any linked documents/images to test this here and forward the relevant information to our devs to request a fix. Can you please upload these document(s) to the below link for me? https://www.dropbox.com/request/VXx7kUsFqs2zSEtV3oqa Once uploaded, please reply here to let me know - many thanks once again! Staff Dan C Posted May 10, 2021 Staff Share Posted May 10, 2021 My sincerest apologies for the delayed response here! We have been able to narrow down the corrupted image to page 91 - which leads me to believe the image in question is layer "18ice3page15.tif" If you delete this image from your document and then replace it, are you able to export the document correctly? I have also logged this issue with our developers, to request a check that the application is loading and storing these placed images correctly and to try and reduce any JPEG corruption when exporting in the future. Please do let me know if this helps Quote Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.
