StainX
Hi! I still have some Issues with .1035 on up to date Win10. Have some PDFs from a client i need to print out, placing them on a new document looks normal on my screen (Passthrough). But on export i still get font Issues, if i export the document as all rasterized pdf, i get a blank page. Only workaround i found is to rasterize each linked document layer before printing. Staff Pauls Posted April 30, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 30, 2021 can you provide a sample PDF and afpub file exhibiting the problem. Also a screenshot of the PDF settings you are using
StainX
Uploaded the files (i tried different PDF export settings thou). Seems to be a problem with the Visage Font thats Embedded in the PDF. Not the first time i have such problem, when i see a font "hickup" i save the pdf as eps in Acrobat, which seems to work fine... but it's kind of a hassle to always check each exported document if everything went well. Staff Pauls Posted April 30, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 30, 2021 I find exporting as PDF/X4 seems to be OK ( same as the source PDF) StainX
StainX
You are correct, PDF/X4 export solves the Problem, not sure why i choose X1 over X4 anyway, probably some RGB thingy... i keep an eye on it, anyway thanks a lot! Pauls
StainX
Hi! Found another PDF from a client that isn't working as it should. Just importing and then exporting as PDF messes up fonts (doesn't matter if X4 or X1). Rasterizeing the layer before export works, also exporting directly to jpg. I sent you the PDF as PN @Pauls. Komatös
Is this a special font? Perhaps the font manufacturer prohibits the inclusion of glyphs. When rasterising, the glyphs become unchangeable. StainX
I don't know what clients do to their pdf's, they send all kind of special fonts some pdf's include hyperlinks and what not. I just want pdf passthrough to work as smooth as possible
