MdS
April 29, 2021 Designer 1.9.3 / Mac Mojave 10.14.6 Hi Forum. I did a search in this forum search bar for this but got no returns, then scanned several pages but nothing close. Apologies if it’s in here somewhere. While working on a Designer document of mainly text, everything out to the edges of the program’s window suddenly went gray. There is a dark gray bar along the bottom of the window. Nothing in any menu showed a solution, and all the options in “Defaults” were grayed out. - The Designer top menu bar is there. Every menu category shows a drop down menu as normal. - All right triangles lead to grayed-out items, including “Defaults." All except “Open Recent.” - The “File/Open Recent" right triangle shows recent documents, and all can be opened, but there is only the document, and everything outside of it is gray. No tools, etc. - Other Designer documents open the same way — just the document, nothing around it to do anything with. - The gray window can be resized with the computer cursor as normal, with or without a document in it. - The gray window can be moved by the title bar area. - There were no other programs running at the time. - Affinity Photo and Publisher open and work fine. They are the most recent updates as well. - Other software in the machine works fine. What I have tried so far: - Closed the document, quit, relaunched Designer. Same. - Quit Designer, restarted the computer, relaunched Designer. Same. - Searched the forum. Did not see anything addressing anything like this. Attached are three screen shots of this. Thanks for any help. - MdS 3 attached screenshots:
iconoclast
Hi MdS! I suppose, you pressed the TAB-key. With it, you can blend out all panels of Designer at once. Just press it again.
