HELP. Trying to print a 8.5 x 11 spread.

Recommended Posts

I have a 8.5 x 11 spread with no margins that I am trying to print.

I have selected the Letter sized paper in my printer settings.

When it prints it cuts off a potion of the document.

I have tried a MILLION different things and can't get it to print the full sheet.

Even with PDF it don't fit.

Welcome to the Affinity forums @Kristen1985!

As you see on your last screenshot parts of the bottom logo are out of the printable area. Often home printers are not able to print to the edge of a paper and they have a free area of approx. 5 mm (may area) which can't be printed to. In the Affinity application this is shown as a red dotted line.

Workarounds: Position your logos a bit higher or at Fit Type instead of Scale use Shrink to Printable. The last option might be not the best for you as the printout will not be vertically and horizontally centered on the paper.

Canon iX6800 series printers are capable of borderless printing but the ‘Borderless’ option is intended for use with photo paper. If you’re using plain paper you’ll probably find that there’s a reduction in quality. (Borderless printing is achieved by stretching the image beyond the standard margins.)
