donbis
I've had this issue ever since updating to the newest version 1.9 (currently running 1.9.2.1035). Right now the document is only 75 pages and the crashes are occuring very frequently, but sometimes my documents can be up to 200-300 pages so I can imagine this may get even worse. I've experienced crashes in the past as my documents get larger, but since updating to 1.9 this is happening 5-10 times a day, and since we don't have an auto-save feature recovery files are not always reliable and I've lost my work several times. The actual bug causing a crash occurs when I hold the arrow keys right or left to scan through my text, or hold Shift+arrow key to highlight text. It's the most mindless function, as I'll click forward or backward to change something and then hold the arrow key to move back to where I was and then everything freezes up. I've dealt with having to save frequently and I backup my work frequently, but this is sort of ridiculous at this point. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it caused by my machine not being powerful enough to handle 1.9? I never had series issues before updating. Thanks!

It's a confidential work file unfortunately, but thank you for the offer to help! I believe the problem was that I had the document set to prefer Embedding (as I usually do prefer this option) but the document had tons of embedded high-resolution images. The file size was massive, I believe my machine couldn't handle the quick processing of the file. Pauls
