Why doesn't my product key show on my online Serif account?

Hello,

I purchased all the Affinity programs through the Microsoft store but none of the product keys show when I log into Serif. I tried to register the programs and the system gives me an error. I wanted to register the software so I had a record of it in case my computer crashed. Could someone please update me on how to go about doing this?

Purchases from the Microsoft Store are tied to your Microsoft account, so they don’t need product keys. If you ever need to reinstall your Affinity apps you would do it via the MS Store.

Ok, that makes sense. So how would I register the software then if it keeps giving me an error?

I see that you could not register Affinity Photo back in February

Can you tell us if you have now updated to 1.9.2 (which has a fix for this problem) and have you tried again to register using 1.9.2 

As Alfred says registration is optional, and you would always get your software from the Microsoft Store even if you successfully register

Is the 1.9.2 something that is automatically downloaded or something that is shown in my updates for the MS Store? I checked there and have no updates to do.

Yes an update in the store that should happen automatically.

Help > About will show you the current version you are running
