Problem with grid spacing (Affinity Designer iPad V. 1.9.2)

Recommended Posts

Hello,
i am new to AD Designer, it was going well so far, but now I have a problem, which I can not handle.
Setting up a grid (artboard), it was not possible to change the spacing. It is frozen at 0.853 in.

When clicking on, i can change the unit ( mm, px ...) and the numbers, but nothing happens.
By double clicking it changes to 255.945 in. I think the highest and (see above) lowest possibility.

I have tried on an on. Can someone please give me a hint?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Simona Ta,

Unfortunately this is a known issue on the iPad. The Grid Spacing is incorrectly proportionate to the DPI of your document. If you change the DPI of your document to 96 you should be able to set a Grid Spacing of 1 inch.

I will get the issue bumped with development in the meantime.

Hey dev team,

experiencing same issue

would be awesome if some developer time could be allocated to the essential grid.

here some tipps

- spacing setting doesnt work

- maximum spacing should be at least maximum width or height

-spacing settings to include % setting

-selecting unti like pt pk in m mm cm yd does not change it, but recalculates it to pt .> odd behavior

- setting a spacing for width and height seperatley

- adjusting grid position in general

go for it and make affinity designer for ipad even better…

thanks for the effort

Christian
