Hi, I have a folder with images in various formats, sizes and aspect ratios. Now I want to resize them all to maximum dimensions of 1200x1200px, keeping the aspect ratio, and add a logo in the bottom right corner. Sounds easy, but it isn't. resizing works, but how do I get the logo right? In some it's completely missing and in others it is placed somewhere in the image. Any suggestions?

Use another program.

The options below were supposed to address this problem but I've never got it working and repeated requests for help on how to use them have gone unanswered. Grrrr!

I now add watermarks/logos using FastStone Photo Resizer

Those options (given their placement) must be intended for manual use of the macros, not for use during a batch job.

You can run a macro already in the Library from another macro that you are recording

When selecting the Library macro to run you can select those options which may then (or may not) be included in the macro you are recording and subsequently used in the batch file

But since I have never got them to work (at all) I can't test that - but if it worked that would solve the logo/watermark placement issues people have

Double Grrrr!

Are you using the width and height boxes in the batch job dialogue? The point at which Affinity Photo applies this resizing is not documented and it might explain your anomalous results. You might do better using an Equations macro to do the resizing. Have a look at my macro to do that here. Using such a macro you can decide at which point the resizing occurs.

Thank you all for your comments. Seems like this is something developers consider too easy to do, so they skip it till never. Even if it is a function used daily by many people. I think I'm gonna have to use Irfanview for it. A shame.

Thanks both for letting us know and I'm certainly sorry to hear this!

I personally have never used this option so I'm double checking it's intended usage and then will be testing the feature to ensure it is working as expected, or report it to our devs as required.

I'll also request a little more information is added to the help file, as this could definitely be clearer in regards to how to best use these options.

I hope this helps and I'll update this thread with my findings shortly :)

Is there some improvement to this matter? In V2 I experienece the same problems.

If you're not seeing an improvement, then there probably hasn't been one.

Serif generally doesn't tell us when they plan to fix issues.
