Edge/Outline Snapping

I was hoping for a edge snapping, so if you move two objects edge to edge they snap and overlap perfectly point for point. For example; if you have two circles you can do this on the north, south, east, and west for them. However, you can’t snap the edges on any other pole, like diagonally. This would be very appreciated, especially if we get a shape builder tool.
