tonyy
I do a lot of drawing. The ability to move and copy by specifying a number makes it much faster to draw a line every 10mm or place a square. In Adobe Illustrator, you can copy by specifying a quantity from the Edit Move menu.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. In case you have not discovered it, you can duplicate an object (select it, press Ctrl+J (Windows) or Cmd+J (Mac), and then use the Transform panel to move it an exact distance. Then, if you need another object spaced that same distance, just use Ctrl/Cmd+J again, and you'll get a new duplicate spaced as you want. This function is called "power duplicate". tonyy
Thank you for letting me know. One problem has been solved, but this question actually contains another thing that I want to achieve. If I can move and copy objects by distance, for example, if I want to draw a 10 mm wide line like a grid, I can draw a line every 10 mm repeatedly with a single Ctrl+J (Windows) or Cmd+J (Mac) action. Maybe I just haven't found a way, but is there a solution to this problem as well?
walt.farrell
I'm not sure I understand what you want. However, no, you can't do it with a single Ctrl/Cmd+J. If you wanted 10 lines you would have to push the key 9 times. tonyy
I tried again and was able to do it. Thank you very much. I was mistaken.
