Needs way better storage management.

Recommended Posts

This is coming from a slightly frustrated place, because I actually saved (manually, with over 100 projects) to my iCloud Drive. After deleting affinity photo for iPad, I noticed that ALL of those projects are now gone... even though I stored them to the cloud. To begin with, each project should not have to be individually saved to the destination, as it takes absolutely forever with a large number of files. But secondly, there should absolutely be an option to automatically save to a specific destination WITHOUT having to hit save.

It was very upsetting to know that I lost 34.5 GB worth of my work because my iCloud folder was deleted along with the app, which wasn’t clearly specified.

Overall, the storage system just needs to be totally flushed out and revamped to avoid situations like this in the future, as it feels a little bit lacking. Other than that, Affinity has been a pleasant experience. However, PLEASE look into this! It would definitely save a lot of headaches.

That’s not good. Affinity should only delete data from your iPad when you delete the app.

The automatic creation and deletion of iCloud folders has not been done properly either. In my case, in the iPadOS Files app, I see a folder with the Affinity Photo logo entitled “Affinity Photo” and another with the Affinity Designer logo, also with the “Affinity Photo” title.
The Copy from Cloud operation has not been done well either (I started another thread here)
