Affinity Photo 1.9 Hangs During Curves Adjustment

Recommended Posts

My affinity photo hangs and does not recover while making curves adjustment.  I was following the steps mentioned in following tutorial to adjust skin tones.

https://affinityrevolution.com/color-correct-skin-affinity-photo-tutorial/

While adjusting the red channel affinity photo hangs.

CPU usage during hang. Even after waiting for 5 minutes affinity photo doesn't recover.

Affinity Photo Version: 1.9.2.1035

Windows Version : Windows 10 - OS Build 19042.867

I am trying to create a repro for this issue, by that time can any one confirm of there are any known issues with version?

Thanks.

I figured out how to reproduce the issue.

1. Open the file attached

2. Select the curves adjustment layer

3. In curves dialog select red channel

4. Using the picker tool to select (anywhere in the photo)

5. Go up and down with red value

While going up and down with red, green or blue it results in hang. There is no consistency but after modifying channel values hang occurs.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hello,

same problem here. When I make several curve adjustments within a few seconds affinity photo hangs and does not recover. This happend very often.

Since I turned off „Open CL Acceleration“ I could not repeat the error and it seems that affinity photo over all works much faster.

The spec of my pc are:

·         OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, 10.0.19042 Build 19042

·         System: HP ProBook 440 G5, 16GB RAM

·         Proz: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz, 1992 MHz, 4 Kern(e), 8 logische(r) Prozessor(en)

·         Grafik (1): NVIDIA GeForce 930MX, 27.21.14.6611

·         Grafik (2): Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620, 27.20.100.8854

My english is not the best, so please excuse me my bad english.

Greetings from Waiblingen (Germany)
