Hunky
People suggest it is because of the subtle gradient layer effect. Test.afdesign
Staff Sean P Posted April 14, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 14, 2021 Hi Hunky, It is definitely being caused by the Gradient Layer on the icon, along with it being on an Artboard (I suspect its messing with the scale of the Layer Effect). Removing the gradient will ensure it goes out as solid white. Assuming you want the gradient, removing the artboard does seem to correct the gradient to be the same as it appears in the document prior to exporting. I'll get it passed on to development. Thank you for the quick response, Sean! Very satisfying to see such quick feedback on bugs. Removing the Artboard did the trick - nice catch. While it is getting fixed by development, I might consider reproducing the effect with a Gradient Fill too. I've heard Gradient Overlay effects can be prone to issues. The Layer Effects aren't generally supported by vector, where as a linear gradient (that isn't skewed) will be.
