Digitizer
Hi, While using Affinity photo, I found that there was no gradient presets which we can just click once and generate a layer. This will also help us quicken our work flow. Thank you.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. If you haven't found the Resources section of the forum, you may find it interesting. Here's a search of that part of the forums for "gradient", for example: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&q=gradient&type=forums_topic&nodes=11 Digitizer 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
Digitizer
Thank you walt.farrell for the info. I am looking for inbuilt option, where if I click on "Gradient" tab, I can access all the pre-designed gradient options. Thank you.
walt.farrell
You're welcome. Yes, it's clear what you were asking for. In the meantime, you can make your own, or import ones created by someone else. Then they will be available for you to use, much quicker than waiting for a program improvement. Staff MEB Posted April 13, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2021 Hi @Digitizer, Welcome to Affinity Forums Affinity Photo ships with (only) three gradients you can access selecting the Gradient category from the dropdown in Swatches panel. You can import more as suggested by @walt, clicking on the small menu icon on the top right of the Swatches panel and selecting Import Palette... (As Document, Application or System palette depending if you want it available for the document you are importing to, for the Affinity app in general or as a system palette) then selecting the .afpalette file you can download from the various threads in the Resources section of this forum. Note that these gradients are NOT available from the Gradient tab for the Fill or Stroke color wells you find in the context toolbar and other places within the app. They are only accessible through the Swatches panel, from the respective category. If this is what you are requesting then it's a valid request that was done by other users as well. walt.farrell 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software | Affinity Quick Reference
