iambia
Periodically when I select anything, a photo, a text box, anything, Affinity Photo will quit as soon as I copy. I must reopen it and recover the file. It has been doing it regularly now; every few minutes if I copy an item to paste elsewhere. I saw the update a little while ago and updated the app. Now it quits EVERY time. Just went to reopen the program and continue my work and now every single time I copy something, it quits automatically. Old Bruce
Do you have any third party Copy/Paste Clipboard utilities installed? There may be a conflict happening if the answer is yes. Staff MEB Posted April 13, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 13, 2021 Hi @iambia, Are you using any third party utility that may be interfering with the clipboard? A clipboard manger or similar? I've been using Keyboard Maestro with its Clipboard History Switcher for many years now, without any conflicts whatsoever. Only with Affinity. Just a few days ago I have finally put all Affinity apps to the KM's clipboard exclusions – my first entries there! – because every time I'd copy any pixel content, everything would slow down to a crawl until I'd copy something else to the clipboard. iambia 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

A clipboard manger or similar? Yes. Paste app, a clipboard manager. Have been using it on my mac for nearly two years now (along with Affinity and other apps) without incident. What would have suddenly changed? Affinity has been working fine all that time with it…if that is it. Never had a problem in almost two years of using Affinity with it until just a few days ago. Also, only Affinity is having an issue. No other apps on my computer. Staff MEB Posted April 14, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 14, 2021 Hi @iambia, Does the Affinity crash with it disabled (or with Affinity apps added to its exclusion list if it provides one)?
