variable thickness of lines

Hi @jasd,

If you are using a mouse, then you can draw the line out and apply a Pressure Profile to it to give this effect.  If you are using a MacBook, with the brush selected, you should be able to set the controller to Pressure on the toolbar along the top and the pressure you use on the trackpad will vary the thickness of the line.  This method would also work if using a drawing tablet.

If just using a standard mouse, you could draw the line and with it selected at the bottom of the Stroke Panel is a Pressure option, where you can manually apply a pressure profile to the stroke.

Assuming you're using a raster brush (eg in Photo, or Designer's Pixel persona), another option is to increase the size jitter and link it to Velocity. The faster you move your mouse (or finger on a trackpad) the broader the stroke.

Linking the size to pressure and using a drawing tablet is probably going to give better results though.

This has just saved me hours on a particular logotype job. Thank you!

Can't believe it didn't spot this before.
