RichardMH
When I close an image I'd like to go straight to the folder I opened it from rather than having to click on Open to get there. I know it just requires a click but I find it annoying. I can't see how to set this up in preferences so I assume it can't be done.
GarryP
Can you explain a bit more about what you want the software to do – step-by-step user/software actions – and how you would expect this to work in practice?
RichardMH
I want to do something like I can do In ON1. There I click Browse, the image is saved and I'm back in my folder. GarryP
This sounds like something that would be covered by a DAM (Digital Asset Management software), rather than something that would be implemented into the individual applications directly. A DAM has been requested many times and, if that’s something you would prefer, you can add your voice to one of the existing request threads. Pšenda
... If set APhoto in DAM (for example in ON1) as external editor, it will work the same way - after closing APhoto (external editor), the folder from which you jumped into it will be displayed.
