richinri
There is nothing in the crash report directory for me to send. Program loads and at some point shortly after just hangs. Currently it is unusable. Most times I have to use task manager to close the program or it won't close. I am using the latest Windows
walt.farrell
If it's not actually crashing you won't get a crash report. Is there something consistent that you're doing just before it hangs? If you have to use the Task Manager to close it, rather than choosing "End Task" you can expand the group by clicking on the arrow on the left, then right-click on the program and choose "Create dump file". raionha
Hello, this happens to me, too. I read somewhere that it won't happen with previous versions so I loaded 2 previous versions but now they also crash after a few minutes of using affinity photo. It's very frustrating How do I do a crash report? thanks in advance!

I don't think that is an "official" crash report but I guess it gives them some info.
Komatös
Deactivate (if not already done) the hardware acceleration under Edit -> Preferences -> Performance It would also be good to know which hardware (here: CPU, GPU) is used. Fnale
Hi there, I've got a similar problem with the publisher version 1.9.2. While I'm working on my file (original created about 2 month ago), it freezes instantly as soon as I click on "Text Styles". Haven't added a new font, style or anything in the last week. When the programm does not react to anything anymore the memory usage increases the whole time, until it reaches nearly 100% of my 16gb. CPU and GPU is only about 5-10% in use. In the end I have to close it with the task manager. Now I deinstalled 1.9.2 and reinstalled 1.9.1 and everything works fine as usual. If I use the little box on at the top for the Text Styles and not the tab you can open via the Studio the publisher does not crash. I could still change everything there. But unfortunately i can't eddit the styles itselfe there. Maybe this helps someone to get a closer look to the problem? Best regards

Thanks. Have you disabled Hardware Acceleration as suggested above? The CTRL key seemed to do the trick. Hardware acceleration is off and using the CTRL key stopped all the downloads. I was able to get in and play around without any crash last night. Thanks so much for your attention. I will not download any of the assets for now until perhaps an interim fix. walt.farrell
Angel Slavchev
Hi. I have a problem that is identical to the one Fnale reported on April 12. I think I found exactly when the problem appears. (Originally I posted in the Mac forum by mistake, so I'm cop/pasting the relevant text here) Short description: The app crashes when a style (paragraph OR character) that has a hotkey assigned is visible in Test Styles view. Details about reproduction: - If the Text Styles view is closed and you create new style that has a hotkey from the Paragraph view, Character view or the Text menu - no problem. When you open Text Styles view, such that the style in question is visible - melt down. - If you have a style with a hotkey and your Text Styles view is open, but too short to display the whole styles list and the style in question is not displayed - no problem. As soon as you scroll your style into view - melt down. The app does not crash - it just becomes unresponsive and starts gulpind down more and more memory and I have to kill the process at some point. Here is a video of the problem as I've described it above. one.mp4 two.mp4 Edited April 26, 2021 by Angel Slavchev typo
