PT filter / groups / anti-aliasing issues

Recommended Posts

Hi,

another rendering issue, this time in combination with groups.

  • left: PT inactive
  • right: PT active
  • top: no group
  • bottom: with group

Expected result:

  • all circles should render identical

Observed result:

all circles reder differently, with multiple issues concerning alpha channel:

  • left side
    • top: missing opacity; anti-aliasig wrong in alpha-channel
    • bottom: missing opacity increased, anti-aliasig wrong
  • right side
    • top: ok (but only with PT active)
    • bottom: stroke changed to outer

No matter if OpenCL active / inactive

Why should they? The top 2 have strokes aligned to inside, while the bottom ones are aligned to outside. It's expected they will be different. The group has no contribution here, it's essentially the same bug as your other report.

Hi @Gabe

you are right about the different stroke alignment, should be identical in all cases. I was chasing an additional issue and forgot to reset alignment.

I made 2 seperated reports as history has shown that layers, blending, and especially handling of alpha chanel can break at different places (nesting vs grouping), either seperately or combined, and wanted to keep the sample files as simple as possible, trying to post one issue per report for clarity. I'm fine if Affinity can fix both aspüeects at once ;-)
