Black workshop window

I have loaded a 12000 x 6000 rectilinear pano image into Affinity.  The image appears in the sidebar but not in the main workshop window!  What am I doing wrong?

I am on the latest Big Sur OS and the latest Affinity update.  Thank you!

Your document is zoomed in to 1% so my guess is it is showing some small, all black part of the pano. What happens if you use CMD+0 (the number zero) to zoom to fit?

Even so, the frame and title of the window should be visible (although its contents will be miniature).

So the work window must be moved outside the work area. Try menu Window, Dock (or Mac equivalent).

Unfortunately not on macOS in 'unseparated mode'. The only indicator that a window is open is the document title in the menu bar, which is not connected with the image:

This is compounded by the fact that on a Mac trackpad, you can pinch zoom to below 1% - here the zoom goes to 0.2%  (like Spinal Tap but in reverse???) despite the Navigator reporting 1%:

. In a situation like that when using Dark UI it's quite easy to lose track of where the image is on screen.
