Wouldn't it be nice to have a "magic wand" that selects in the form of a generated vector outline - that you could then tweek and then make your selection? This would be a huge time saver (at least for me) but it would have to have the added ability to expand the pixel selection outward before converting it to a vector so that we can make sure that colours trap properly.
