Tony Ennis
I have 2 master pages, helpfully called A and B. A is what I used for 95% of my pages. Now, and I don't know how I did it, A and B are identical, and if I try to make B right again, it makes the same changes in A. For example, removing the page number from B removes it from A too. Not what I want! it was working fine for the last week, and now... splat. What have I done and how can I undo it?
walt.farrell
Sounds like you may have applied Master B to Master A. You could right-click on Master A and choose Clear Masters. Tony Ennis
When I do that, "A" is empty; blank. And then 250 of my pages lose their master-ing. (and yes, I did "have an experiment" this morning... doh)
Tony Ennis
I finally just had to clear "A", then was (fortunately) able to paste in the seemingly duplicated crud from "B". Then I removed that same crud from "B". What a mess, lol. Fixing it took all of 3 minutes but I am not sure how it got this way. #noobiesdothesethings
