skmwrp
AD 1.9.2 - When I create a new vector or pixel layer in the Layer Palette, AD closes the Layer slide out immediately after when, given that I just created the new layer, I'd like to name it, so I have to open the studio again. Ision Industries
Click the thumbtack icon on the top right of the layers panel, this will “pin” the layers panel so it won’t hide anymore

I don't know if 1.9 behaved differently. You could try the beta and see if it behaves differently for you. I want all of the UI to hide when I'm not using it. Which it didn't. But when I don't want it to hide, like just after creating a new layer, it does. But it does seem to be fixed in AD 1.10. Too bad there's still no key command to Hide/Unhide the UI, rather than make me hit that little target. Or to Deselect. Or Delete. Or Undo. Or Redo.
