I am just a beginner here but one question please, I have the free studio assets when I purchased but they are very indistinct on a dark  UI and if I change to light you cant see them at all.

Is there a way to change the colour of the asset panel they are in so you can see them easily?

Aside from changing the UI theme you cannot change the colour of the Asset Panel background.
This sort of thing has been requested before.

Welcome to the Forums @carl.muller 😊.   Although it is not entirely satisfactory, one way to distinguish between these very faint assets is to click on the hamburger icon at the top right of your Assets Panel and check “Show as List.”  Each asset will then show a name.  If you download the pdf that came with that bundle (check My Account and then click on the little dark arrow beside the icon for the asset bundle) you will find much larger images for each asset.   This might help?
