AD - Text on path is backwards

Recommended Posts

I think that means the object has been flipped.

You could flip the object to fix it:, I think: With the Move Tool and the object selected,, Layer > Transform > Flip Horizontal from the menu, or the icon on the Toolbar.

Ahh yes that worked!   I guess there must be something in the svg path definition which defined the direction.

‘Flip Horizontal’ will only work satisfactorily if, as in this case, the path is symmetrical about the y axis. An alternative which should work in all cases is to switch to the Node Tool and press the ‘Reverse Curve’ button on the Context toolbar.

Once I had the backwards text on the path I selected the node tool.  The reverse curve button only seems to move the text from the top of the path to the bottom.  The text is still backwards.

My bad. I don’t know what I was thinking!

Thanks. That was another possible suggestion, but I couldn't remember where to find Reverse Curve.

It doesn’t seem to work as we might expect. :(
