HYR
For some reason changing the table background color affects all new text elements. You can't remove it without removing the background color of the table. thomaso
Once you change a property of an object it is maintained for new object creation, too. That way it's easier to stay in a certain formatting when creating several objects. It's meant to be a feature, not a bug. Your video doesn't show any trial to remove the red background, right? – You can remove it for one or more or all items at a time, depending on your object selection when applying a new / no fill color. If you want to reset all applied styles to a certain style you can alternatively press the "Revert Defaults" button or click a saved style in the styles panel. HYR
@thomaso Where would you expect to remove the background on a text frame?
HYR
Nevermind. I found it in the "Frame Text" studio under "General". Thanks!
HYR
@thomasoI guess the part that confused me is…why a table would cause my regular text tools to change? Seemed so odd that it seemed like a bug (and frankly still seems really odd to me). But thanks for helping me.
thomaso
7 hours ago, HYR said: why a table would cause my regular text tools to change? It is not the tool that gets changed. It is the Text Frame property. You can set this at any time with any tool and with no object selected. A table is a kind of text frame. The table tool is 1 of 3 text tools, they all create text frames and they use a common text frame panel. garrettm30 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
