kdparnell
Just received the 1.92 update. When trying to import a DNG from my old Pentax DSLR, I either get a transparent screen with no photo displayed, or the app crashes. Tried on multiple files. This was not an issue before this update. Edit: switching the RAW engine to Apple solves the problem. But I would prefer to use the Serif engine... kdparnell
Sure. All is well when I use the apple engine, but not the Serif. Thanks!
Staff Chris B Posted April 1, 2021 Staff Share Posted April 1, 2021 Hey kdparnell, Could you try again please but this time keep it as an attachment or zip it up. The forum re-encodes them when you insert them and essentially turns it into a JPEG. Or at least can you tell me the exact model of the Pentax as I might be able to source a few examples. kdparnell
It’s an old Pentax: K-10d. File is in DNG format https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ancpaa2KlERxjIokSERorsv8nvtTsg
Creativityintheunborn
This evening I started looking through archived DNG files on external hard drives taken on the following Pentax cameras: K-M, K-50, K-01, K-20D, K-5, K-5II, K-3, K-S2, 645D. I noticed when choosing get info on any of the files in Mac OS Big Sur, it says Affinity Publisher is the default application to open the DNG files. This is before and after updating to the latest version of all three Affinity apps. Particularly in respect to Affinity Publisher because it shows as the default app in finder, get info, to open these files. I didn't try opening any of the files yet. Could this be related? And if not, why would Affinity Publisher show in Mac OS Big Sur as the default, not Affinity Photo?
